Kiso Valley (木曽路) is a series of small towns in Nagano that were once bustling post towns that served as rest stops for traders along the East-West passageway in Japan (中山道).
The main theme for this series is the classic "Hayato Miyazaki, Studio Ghibli look and feel. That was the first idea that popped into my mind when I got off the bus and stared at the row of gorgeous buildings, feeling like I took a step back in time.
I wanted to mimic this style with special photo editing, making them feel like paintings or drawings.
